God is very smart. He gave us a light bulb and mounted on our forehead to light up our sight, so we won't fall into a pit while walking in the dark. He gave us light to see what's in front, but not enough for further future. This is the tricky part. He knew if we are able to see the further future, we won't appreciate or cherish the present. We are all like sheep--- very single minded animal. God limited our sight to let us enjoy the present. He provided us a small light, some knowledge, and a brain to let us see what's in front, and determine right or wrong, then choose which way to go. God is leading us "step by step" to him. "One step ahead, another present begin."
This is probably a gift or a teaching from God. "Present" is "Gift". (i heard this somewhere)
A gift of learning how to appreciate who you are, what you have, where you are "now"-----this very current moment.
